The Comfort is where the cabin stops looking like a shell. Beadboard runs the walls and the ceiling, the floor goes dark, and the appliances are already in place. The half-light doors bring daylight into a narrow floor plan — a small thing that changes how 320 square feet feels at seven in the morning.
Beadboard, wall and ceiling
Left unpainted, so the grain carries the room. Paint it later if you want, but most owners leave it alone.
R-19 walls, mineral wool ceiling
The step up from the Sport is real: more R-value in the wall cavity and mineral wool overhead, which handles heat and sound better than batt.
Appliances included
A contractor-quality package sized to the run — range, refrigerator, and the hood. Nothing to source before move-in.
Half-light doors
Glass in the top half of each exterior door. Daylight at both ends of a long, narrow plan, without giving up the door — and the one thing you can see from the driveway that separates a Comfort from a Sport.
Common upgrades on a Comfort
- Closed-cell spray foam flash at the ceiling for humid or unshaded sites
- 2×6 wall framing on 24″ centers
- Butcher block or solid-surface countertops in place of laminate
- Painted walls and ceiling in a color of your choosing
- Pocket door at the bath, exterior paint, awnings
- Mini split sized to the unit, installed before delivery
